Terms of Use

Last updated 13 October 2026. Draft: to be reviewed before the first public release.

1. Who these terms are for

These terms apply to IMP Commander and other apps published on withimp.app (“the app”). By installing or using the app you agree to them.

2. Licence

  • Using the app requires a licence key, including during Early Access.
  • A licence is granted to one natural person and is not transferable. It may not be shared, resold or used by a company on behalf of several people.
  • One licence key may be activated on up to 2 computers at the same time. You can move an activation to another computer by deactivating it on the old one.
  • The app verifies the licence over the internet. It keeps working for up to 14 days without a connection, after which it asks to check the licence again.
  • The licence check sends only the licence key, an anonymous identifier of the computer and the app version. It never sends your files, file names or paths. See Privacy for details.

3. Early Access

  • IMP Commander is in Early Access. It is still being developed, and features may change, be added or be removed.
  • During Early Access all features are unlocked for every valid licence.
  • When Early Access ends, some features may become unavailable in the free version and may require a paid licence. We will announce this in advance on withimp.app and in the app.
  • Early Access builds can contain bugs. Keep backups of important data.

4. Updates

The app checks for signed updates and installs them when you restart it. Early Access may require you to stay on a recent version.

5. Your files and privacy

The app works with your files on your computer. It does not upload the contents of your files anywhere. The AI assistant works only with names and metadata, and only when you use it. See Privacy and the codex in the app (Help → Our codex).

6. What you may not do

  • Circumvent the licence check or share licence keys.
  • Reverse engineer, modify or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.

7. No warranty

The app is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for loss of data or other damage caused by using the app, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Ending the licence

We may revoke a licence that breaks these terms. You may stop using the app at any time.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and important changes will be announced in the app.
